What Strength Truly Means

I am having a bit of a hot mess day, and I decided to write myself an intuitive letter. What came out was, just, wow. ❤ ❤ ❤

Dear Kari,

Do you know how strong you are? Sometimes I feel like you don’t realize what strength you possess. You have had to be so strong throughout your life. You have learned what strength truly means.

Strength does not mean putting on a brave face. Strength means letting yourself cry. Strength means letting people see your vulnerability. Strength means admitting you can’t keep it all together. Strength means reaching out when you are struggling instead of feeling like you need to keep it to yourself.

You are helping so many others by sharing your struggles. You are so so brave by being willing to be so open. You are having such a huge ripple effect by showing people that strength does not mean holding it in and pretending like everything is ok when you are falling apart inside. You are teaching people it’s ok to talk about their true feelings they are feeling like they need to keep hidden away.

True strength is accepting all of our emotions and knowing they all deserve to be heard and known and loved. You are loved if you are happy or if you are struggling. You are really learning that life lesson.

I know you still struggle with allowing yourself to let people know when you are hurting inside, but by your example you are letting people know they can share their hurt too. And by allowing that pain to be heard, you are helping the world and helping people know that it’s ok to feel all of their emotions.

You are so beautiful and I am so thankful you have chosen to be so open. I love your strength and I hope you know on those dark days that you have added so much light and love into this world. Your life matters more than you can even fathom.

Love,
Kari
